About
A rep agency that works the merchant's side of the table.
Focus Consulting LLC represents consumer electronics brands into Best Buy and Target. The work starts with the category, the buyer's numbers, and the space you are asking for — then continues through onboarding and every review after.
Focus Consulting is a consumer electronics rep agency. We take a brand's line into national retail: positioning it against the category, building the case a buyer is measured on, and running the account once it is in the door.
Our perspective comes from the buying side. Leadership spent years as merchants at Best Buy and Target — building assortments, setting price ladders, and deciding which brands earned space. A pitch reaches the buyer already shaped the way that buyer thinks.
From there the work is retail operations: sell-in meetings, assortment and price architecture, promotional calendars, item setup, forecasting, and the reviews that determine whether an item earns another season on shelf.
Brands keep their team, their product story, and their voice. What they gain is a channel function that already speaks the retailer's language — and someone in the room whose only job is getting that product placed and keeping it there.
Categories
Where we know the shelf, the price ladder, and the buyer.
From a first hero item to a full line refresh — if it plugs in, pairs, charges, or plays, we have carried the category conversation.
How we work
Six principles we do not bend.
These are the habits that keep a brand credible in front of a national buyer — and keep the item on shelf after the first order ships.
Readiness before pitch
If packaging, landed cost, or demand proof will not survive a buyer meeting, we say so before you spend money on a pitch.
Merchant language
We present in turns, margin dollars, price ladder, and space — the numbers a buyer is measured on.
One plan per retailer
Best Buy and Target are not the same conversation. Each gets its own story, timing, and assortment logic.
Straight answers
You hear the buyer's actual objection, not a softened version of it. Objections are fixable; silence is not.
One accountable team
The people who built the pitch run the account. Nothing gets handed to a coordinator relaying messages.
After the yes
Forecasting, chargebacks, and reviews decide whether the item is still on shelf next year — so we stay on it.
